Role & responsibilities

User Research: Observing and understanding the needs, behavior and emotions of users. The insights are being used for design and product development.

User Experience Design (UX): Together with the multidisciplinary team I create intuitive and seamless user flows based on user insights, data, stakeholder- & business needs.

User Interface Design (UI): Creation of user-friendly, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces, streamlining the Instant Commerce brand.

Usability Testing: Observing how users interact with our product, evaluate the value and user-friendliness of features, and discovering bugs & flaws. I also test new features myself (quality insurance).

Pitch Lead: I make sure our development team has all the necessary data and design resources for building and delivering new features efficiently. I also handle time management and, if needed, escalate important issues to the management team.

MISSION

Enable eCommerce brands to build superior online shopping experiences, fast and easy, with best-in-class technology

Background

For far too long, creating eCommerce stores has meant relying on developers, while dealing with never-ending timelines and increasing costs.

We speak from firsthand experience because before founding Instant Commerce, we operated as a different company known as Story of AMS, an eCommerce agency.

Despite our ability to build eCommerce platforms for brands and businesses, our clients frequently encountered challenges when it came to customizability and doing post-launch changes to their eCommerce platform themselves. It was evident that a change was necessary

Building eCommerce platforms without developers seemed impossible for most businesses. So, at the start of 2022, we set out to fix this problem. We quit Story of AMS, and started Instant Commerce to fully focus on our mission: Enable eCommerce brands to build superior online shopping experiences, fast and easy, with best-in-class technology

Design & develop together with our BETA users

As a former agency, we informed our clients about our transition to Instant Commerce. We offered them early access for a nominal fee in exchange for valuable feedback, allowing us to improve our platform.

To understand their needs and to continuously gain insights, we created a BETA test group with a small group of clients. This iterative process enables us to enhance our platform gradually.

Customizable pre-built blocks

Drawing on our agency experience, we understood the key elements necessary to create a highly converting eCommerce store. That's why we designed a library of 100+ fully customizable pre-built blocks. This allows users to effortlessly build their eCommerce store through a simple drag-and-drop interface.

Collaborating with my fellow designer, we developed the entire library and supported developers by building and providing explanations on how each element should behave.

Builder UI

Simultaneously, the UI of the builder was developed. I played an important role in the onboarding and sign-up flow, ensuring that we guide users seamlessly through the store-building process in an intuitive way.

Sign-up flow

Our goal was to create a streamlined sign-up process for users, while gathering enough info to understand the companies choosing Instant Commerce.
